Notice Regarding Sage Abra Suite Support

As you may know, Sage HR and payroll software is available in 2 flavors -Sage HRMS 2012 and Sage Abra Suite. The Sage Abra Suite version runs on Visual FoxPro - a database that's owned and maintained by Microsoft. 

Microsoft has announced they will discontinue support for Visual FoxPro in 2015. Here's the latest on the future of Sage Abra Suite ...

Going Forward: Sage Abra Suite Support 

While Sage will continue supporting your Sage Abra Suite software, continued product improvements and new features over the long term are unlikely.  With that it mind, it may be time to consider migrating to Sage HRMS 2012 which runs on the Microsoft SQL Server database and offers expanded features and functional advantages over Sage Abra Suite.

Sage has recently held webcasts and have a road map that has new features coming for Sage Abra Suite. By enrolling in Sage Source for Sage Abra Suite, customers and their employees gain powerful new advantages with a cloud based portion of their Sage Abra Suite solution. Sage HRMS might be a good choice for a customer, but staying with Sage Abra Suite may be just as good a plan!
