How to Customize the Sage X3 Dashboard

2/4/2013

Recent enhancements to Sage X3 provide you with more options to customize the format, layout, and gadgets that display on your Sage X3 dashboard. With previous versions, you were limited to a fixed number of columns and a fixed layout.  But now, you can adjust column sizing as well as mix, match, and edit the content that displays on your personalized dashboard. Let's take a closer look at customizing the dashboard in Sage X3.

Step 1: Add a New Tab

As mentioned, dashboards can be customized to include different pieces of information. These pieces of information, which were previously referred to as "Thumbnails" are now known as "Gadgets." You can customize your Sage X3 Dashboard to include multiple gadgets to suit all of your business needs. These gadgets can include registers, statistics, graphs, and even process maps.

To get started you must first add a New Tab.

Sage ERP X3 can support up to 4 columns that contain your gadgets. After you select the number of columns you wish to display, you'll see that there are different layout options available.

Step Three: Add & Adjust Dashboard Gadgets

Now you can begin adding gadgets to your dashboard. Click Add Content and then select any of the gadgets that are available.
