Sage Names Marc Scheipe North America President
Sage announced that Marc Scheipe has been appointed president of Sage North America. If the name sounds familiar, it's because Scheipe has been serving as interim president of Sage North America since late last year which we reported here at top-sage-resellers back in October.
Scheipe is an accomplished business leader, with more than 20 years of financial services experience focused on financial management, strategy development, process improvement and sales/operations leadership. In the official press release, Sage reports that under Scheipe’s leadership, the region hit financial targets and completed the first stages of an ongoing transformation at the company - accomplishments that undoubtedly contributed to his permanent appointment as President. |

Sage Launches New Marketplace for Add-on Applications
We recently saw the launch of Sage Marketplace, a new global distribution platform for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to showcase their custom-developed add-on applications that integrate with Sage software solutions including Sage Live and Sage One.
Michael De Jongh, VP Global ISV & Developer Program at Sage, says, “This is just the beginning for the Sage Marketplace. Many ISVs are joining us to develop extensions to Sage’s portfolio of online products that create enriched functionality over and above the core product."

RKL eSolutions Acquires Sage 100 Partner Baesis, Inc.
In January of this year, RKL eSolutions announced the acquisition of Baesis, Inc., a Sage 100 and manufacturing software provider based in Massachusetts. The acquisition adds 8 new team members to the RKL eSolutions roster and significantly expands the company's existing resources in New England, Mid-Atlantic, and the Mid-West.
The move also bolsters RKL's Sage 100 practice with added manufacturing expertise including Job Ops for Sage 100 - a manufacturing add-on solution for Sage 100 that Baesis specialized in.
Joe Noll, President at RKL eSolutions, says it all results from mutual admiration between the two companies. “In 2013, we started kicking around ideas on how we might work together and formalized a partnership.” Both companies had a strong Sage 100 practice, but each had expertise and focus on different verticals and industries. Noll says, “The more we talked about it, the more we realized we’d be stronger as one team than we would be just working together as alliance partners.”
