Marc Scheipe Appointed Interim President & CFO Sage North America

Sage recently announced that in addition to his role as CFO for Sage North America, Marc Scheipe has also been appointed interim president for Sage North America.
According to Sage, Marc is an accomplished business leader with more than 20 years of financial services experience focused on financial management, strategy development, process improvement and sales/operations leadership.
But as Wayne Schulz points out in his article on the ERPLife blog, perhaps his most impressive accomplishment is a 10 year military career as a fighter pilot and top gun graduate with 1800 flight hours, 300+ aircraft landings, and 36 combat missions in Iraq and Bosnia.
Nice work Marc!

Sage Payment Solutions Now EMV-Ready
Sage Payment Solutions, cloud-based payment processing for Sage ERP software, announced the service is now EMV certified.
Often referred to as "chip-and-PIN" or "smart cards" (you know, that little chip embedded in all new credit cards), EMV technology affects how businesses accept payments. With changes in payment processing standards that took effect October 1, merchants now bear more liability for fraudulent transactions if they are not EMV-enabled.
Simply put if you're a merchant that's not using EMV technology, you're assuming a lot more of the risk that was previously assumed by the credit card companies.

SWK Technologies Acquires 2 Other Sage Partners
SWK Technologies, Inc. has recently acquired two fellow technology providers including North Carolina-based Oates & Co. and Seattle-based The Macabe Associates, both resellers of Sage and Acumatica software.
Recognized as a long-time developer in the Sage channel, The Macabe Associates acquisition adds a wide range of proprietary add-ons and integration solutions that SWK feels they can "substantially increase the revenue generated by these proprietary products."
The Oates acquisition bolsters SWK's presence in the Southeast.
