The fairly recent partnership between Sage and Salesforce has produced one of its first collaborations with the launch of Sage Life.
According to the announcement, Sage Life is a cloud service that enables small companies to combine their accounting, payroll, customer and finance data into one system and make it all accessible from any device at any.
What is Sage Life Exactly?
That's the million dollar question. The details of what Sage Life is and how it works are thin. There isn't much detail in any of the press releases or even the Sage life website. Even the Sage Partner Community is baffled based on comments posted in LinkedIn discussion forums.
Sage has apparently indicated they will show off the first bits of Sage Life on May 21 at Salesforce World Tour London on May 21st. So I guess we'll just wait and see.

Two New Featured Speakers Unveiled for Sage Summit 2015
Sage has unveiled 2 new "featured" speakers for Sage Summit 2015 in New Orleans. Those speakers include:
Tony Hawk - Entrepreneur and probably the most recognized professional skateboarder in the world. Almost single handedly, he put skateboarding on the map and turned an edgy pastime into a global empire from video games and licensing to clothing and online media. At Sage Summit, he'll share his experience and lessons learned.
Chad Hurley - Co-founder of YouTube and AVOS. Serving as a website, a brand, and a verb, YouTube is the world's largest and most popular video sharing service and the third most visited website globally. At Sage Summit, he'll share ideas about how content is shared and consumed in the modern era.

Sage Partners with Kabbage to Provide Small Business Loans
Through a partnership with Kabbage, a financial services company focused on small business, Sage has launched a new program that provides small business loans ranging from $2,000 to $100,000.
According to the official press release, this new program represents the first use of a third-party technology platform to deliver a fully branded lending product to small business customers.
"We were very deliberate in crafting a platform offering that is easily and rapidly implemented by our partners," said Jason Dell, head of product for Kabbage. "Sage is our first partner, because we believe their large customer base of small and mid-sized businesses is well suited to quickly benefit from our fully automated lending solution and obtain the capital they need to grow."
