In 2012, the names of many of the core Sage accounting and ERP lines - including those designed for nonprofits and the construction industry - are changing. These products will be identified with a numbering approach where higher numbers denote increasing levels of product capability or sophistication. The product numbering sets include Sage One, Sage 50, Sage 100, Sage 300, and Sage 500.
The objective of the rebranding is part of an overall effort to more prominently feature the Sage brand, regardless of the specific product a customer might be using. In that way, it’s similar to brands like BMW or Microsoft – each offers a variety of widely-recognized products (or models) but the most prominent brand is the company itself.
